About

El Gaucho Thonglor is the Argentinian-style steakhouse on the ground floor of Eight Thonglor on Soi 8, about ten minutes on foot from BTS Thong Lo. What sets this branch apart from its Sukhumvit siblings is the big front terrace, which is where you want to sit once the heat drops. Beef runs from Australian and US USDA Prime through Black Angus to Miyazaki A5 wagyu, and the rib eye cap is the recent addition the restaurant pushes. Budget 1,200 to 3,000 baht a head with drinks; the 250 g certified Angus rib eye opened at 1,090 baht back when the branch launched and has climbed since. The wine list holds around fifty labels with glasses from the low 200s. Open daily 11am to 11pm, kitchen until 10.30pm, with a lighter lunch service from 11am to 3pm. The deal regulars plan around is Super Tuesday, 50 percent off every grilled steak on the first Tuesday of each month through 2026, which needs a booking days ahead. Parking is in the Eight Thonglor mall itself. Come for a large cut over fire rather than a tasting-menu evening.
