Sathorn Restaurants: 15 Places to Eat from Sathorn Soi 8 to Suan Phlu and Yen Akat
Sathorn restaurants ranked with prices: Teppen, Park Sathorn, three-star Sühring, nahm, Côte, Italian on Soi 11–12 and office lunches, by BTS station.
Sathorn is where Bangkok goes when dinner is the plan rather than a stop on the way home. North and South Sathorn Road are a wall of five-star hotels, office towers and embassies, but turn into Sathorn Soi 8, 10 or 12, Soi Suan Phlu or Soi Yen Akat and the towers give way to old houses that have become restaurants, and four of the Michelin-starred kitchens in this list sit in or beside the district. This list of Sathorn restaurants has 15 places whose menus and prices are documented in public sources, from a loud Japanese grill house with more than 4,000 Google reviews to a garden restaurant with koi ponds and a three-star villa you book weeks out. Ranking is by Google rating and review volume, documented dishes and prices, and editorial judgement.
Budget in three bands. Noodle and curry shops on Soi Saint Louis and Sathorn Soi 11 to 13: 50 to 120 baht. Office lunch at a Soi 10 cafe or an everyday Italian: 150 to 350 baht a head. Dinner at a hotel or a starred room: from about 1,100++ baht for nahm’s Kanom Jin set to 2,600++ for Maison Dunand’s Preambule, with Sühring’s tasting menu above that. For transport, BTS Chong Nonsi exit 2 is the stop for Sathorn Soi 8 and 10 and Narathiwat Road; BTS Saint Louis for Soi 11, Soi 12 and Soi Saint Louis; MRT Lumphini for the Rama 4 end, Soi 1 and the COMO Metropolitan; and the BRT Sathorn line for Chan Road.

How Sathorn eats: office towers, old sois, Narathiwat
Sathorn splits into three zones that eat differently. The first is the main road itself, from the Rama 4 end past Chong Nonsi, the office and hotel strip, where restaurants live inside buildings: nahm at the COMO Metropolitan, The House on Sathorn beside the W, and, per Wongnai, Chef Man at the Eastin Grand and Bai Yun on the 59th floor of the Banyan Tree for dim sum with a view. The second is the old sois on the north side, between Sathorn and Silom: Sathorn Soi 8, 10 and 12, with several detached houses turned into restaurants. Teppen, Maison Dunand, Kai New Zealand and Giglio are all in these three sois, and BK Magazine adds Sorrento, one of Bangkok’s longest-running Italian restaurants, and Supanniga Eating Room with its three-generation eastern Thai recipes, both on Soi 10.
The third zone is the south side: Soi Suan Phlu, Soi Ngam Duphli, Soi Yen Akat and Narathiwat Road running down toward Rama 3. It is residential, with restaurants in old houses and gardens. Saawaan and The Little Prince Café are on Suan Phlu, Sühring on Yen Akat 3, Park Sathorn on Soi Si Aksorn almost at Chuea Phloeng Road, and Grab lists Sorrel for contemporary Thai, Via Emilia for Italian and Tee Nee Chengdu for mala on Narathiwat. The third zone is not walkable from a station: take a taxi or drive. Park Sathorn has plenty of parking in its soi, per Wongnai reviewers.
Best restaurants in Sathorn for dinner
Dinner is what Sathorn is for, and the list is top-heavy with reasons. Sühring, in a restored 1970s villa on Soi Yen Akat 3, became Thailand’s second three-star restaurant in the 2026 Michelin Guide; it is closed Monday and Tuesday and booked weeks ahead. Côte by Mauro Colagreco holds two stars in the 2026 guide, as it did in 2025, on the river at Capella Bangkok, with a Riviera menu that changes with the seasons. nahm and Maison Dunand each hold one star in the 2026 guide, the first for regional Thai cooking under chef Pim Techamuanvivit, the second for an all-Alpine kitchen with a cheese trolley of more than 20 kinds. Between them they cover the full fine dining in Bangkok spread, and the complete set of starred tables is in our Michelin restaurants in Bangkok guide.
Below the stars the choices are more personal. Teppen on Soi 8 is dinner as performance, with straw fires at the pass and staff shouting greetings across the room; it suits a birthday, not a negotiation. The House on Sathorn is a colonial mansion beside the W with a garden where Paii serves modern Thai seafood until 23:00 and Bar Sathorn, number 17 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026, pours until 01:00. Saawaan on Suan Phlu does a Thai tasting menu that held a star from 2019 to 2022; a Wongnai review from April 2025 recorded it at 2,790 baht. Le Bouchon has been the French regulars’ bistro since 1996, and Kai New Zealand on Soi 12, open since around 2014, does New Zealand beef and lamb, fish and chips and a Sunday roast.
Sathorn restaurants for lunch (and where the office crowd actually goes)
Weekday lunch in Sathorn is for the office towers along the main road. The list’s answers are (Not Just) Another Cup on Soi 10, which opens at 07:00 and serves salads and wholegrain pasta; Tutto Matto on Soi 11 for panini and pizza with no booking needed; and Aunglo by Yangrak, whose 11:30 to 14:30 sitting serves charcoal-grilled plates from 65 baht. Grab lists two more morning cafes, Bartels on Soi 3 for sourdough sandwiches from 07:00 and Fran’s on Soi Ngam Duphli for smoked-salmon eggs Benedict from 08:00, both open daily for brunch.
The budget tier is in the side sois. Soi Saint Louis and Sathorn Soi 11 to 13 keep shophouse curry-and-rice and noodle shops at 50 to 120 baht; Grab lists Sun Moon, a dumpling house on Soi Ngam Duphli with a 40-year-old recipe, open 11:00 to 14:00, and Apollo Duck on Soi 11 for Hong Kong roast duck and roast-duck egg noodles. For a long business lunch, Côte’s four-course Esplanade menu at 1,800++ baht appears on Michelin’s own list of accessible starred tables, and Maison Dunand opens for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays.
Italian restaurants in Sathorn
Sathorn has Italian kitchens at every price level, several of them within a few sois of each other. The list covers three. Giglio Trattoria Fiorentina at 149 Soi 12 is the Tuscan one, with dry-aged beef, Tuscan salami, pici in pecorino fondue with truffle and a rooftop, at about 1,500 baht a head. Tutto Matto on Soi 11 is the everyday one, open to 23:55 with no bookings and a vegan menu. Côte at Capella is the Riviera one, Genoa to Nice, at two-star prices.
Beyond the list, BK Magazine’s Sathorn round-up names Il Bolognese on Soi 7 for crisp, well-charred wood-fired pizza, Sorrento on Soi 10 for cacio e pepe finished in a cheese wheel and reinvented classic cocktails, La Scala at The Sukhothai for upscale tasting menus, and Sensi on Narathiwat Soi 17 for interactive tasting menus. Grab adds Via Emilia on the same Narathiwat lane for a cream-free carbonara and panettone. Capricci on Yen Akat Road, a red-lit Italian restaurant and bar with a 4.8 Google score, runs about 700 to 1,500 baht a head on Time Out’s prices: wagyu hanger steak 990, gnocchi with lamb ragù 380, tiramisu 280. Its hours differ by source (Google: Tuesday to Sunday from 17:00; Time Out English: Wednesday to Sunday; Time Out Thai: Monday to Saturday from 17:30), so call first. The city-wide picture is in our Italian restaurants in Bangkok guide.
Thai restaurants in Sathorn, from Michelin-listed to shophouse
Sathorn’s Thai cooking runs the full range. At the top, nahm’s Heritage set and the 1,100++ baht Kanom Jin set at the COMO Metropolitan, and Saawaan’s tasting menu on Suan Phlu. Grab also lists Blue Elephant on South Sathorn, near BTS Surasak, for crab curry with betel leaves and spicy prawn salad, and BKKStay adds Plu on Soi Phra Phinit, which has its own parking. BK Magazine’s list points to Supanniga on Soi 10 for stewed pork with chamuang leaves and to Issaya Siamese Club, a restored mansion on the same Soi Si Aksorn as Park Sathorn.
Further down the price ladder, Aunglo by Yangrak on Decho Road is the Thai restaurant on this list with the most to show a visitor: a Bib Gourmand in the 2026 guide, a charcoal grill in the middle of the room, plates from 65 to 199 baht, and a menu built on the catch of the day. Park Sathorn’s Thai half, pad kaprao at 240 baht and herb-grilled pork ribs, is the family-garden version. For the shophouse tier, Grab lists Hia Wan’s fish congee on Chan Road, open more than 30 years from 16:00 to 23:00, Lab Ubon Khon Trakan on South Sathorn Road for Isan from 17:00 to 04:00, and Baan Somtum on Sri Wiang Road, while BKKStay adds Ruay Mitr’s retro khao tom kui on Soi 10 with unlimited rice soup and a 90s DJ on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sathorn bars that serve real food
Bar Sathorn in The House on Sathorn is the district’s bar with a ranking, number 17 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026, and it has a serious seafood restaurant upstairs. Vertigo and Moon Bar on the Banyan Tree roof is the long-running sunset address that Wongnai lists for a romantic dinner, and KTC lists Ojo on the 76th floor of The Standard, Mahanakhon, at about 2,000 baht a head; both belong in our rooftop restaurants in Bangkok guide.
At ground level, Sathorn Soi 12 is the bar soi. KTC lists Charm Eatery and Bar at 124 Sathorn Soi 12, open 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to midnight, and BKKStay recommends it for live music, and BK Magazine names Bunker on the same soi, also known as Soi Sueksa Witthaya, for grilled sharing plates with biodynamic wines. Kai New Zealand on the same soi is open daily to midnight, and Teppen on Soi 8, less a bar than a show, runs to midnight Monday to Saturday and 23:00 on Sunday. Grab adds Junker and Bar on Suan Phlu for truffle pizza from 15:30 to midnight, and the Little Prince building hides the Vol de Nuit speakeasy behind the cafe until 02:00.
Getting there: BTS Chong Nonsi vs Surasak
Chong Nonsi, exit 2, is the station for most of this list. It puts you at the Narathiwat-Sathorn junction, a few minutes from Teppen on Soi 8, Maison Dunand on Soi 10 and The House on Sathorn, and on the footbridge that crosses to Silom. Saint Louis, the infill station opened in 2021 between Chong Nonsi and Surasak, is the closest stop to Soi 12 (Kai New Zealand and Giglio, about seven minutes), Soi 11 (Tutto Matto) and Soi Saint Louis. Surasak, further west, is the stop for Blue Elephant. MRT Lumphini is the entrance to the Rama 4 end: Le Bouchon on Soi Atthakan Prasit off Soi 1, and the COMO Metropolitan about ten minutes on foot along South Sathorn. The BRT Sathorn line runs from Chong Nonsi down Narathiwat to Chan Road and Rama 3 and is useful for the south side, but Suan Phlu, Yen Akat and Soi Si Aksorn still mean a motorbike taxi or a cab.
For drivers, the parking facts on record: Kai New Zealand has spaces in front and beside the restaurant at 50 baht an hour, with free valet on weekday evenings and all weekend, per its own site; Teppen gives two free hours, per BKKStay; Côte and Maison Dunand offer valet; and Park Sathorn has plenty of parking in its soi. The river is a short cab ride further on; see riverside restaurants in Bangkok for where Charoen Krung takes over, and Silom restaurants for the parallel road ten minutes’ walk north.
