Central Pinklao is where the Thonburi side of Bangkok goes when it wants to sit down to dinner without crossing the river. The mall is at 7/222 Borommaratchachonnani Road in Bangkok Noi, just past the Thonburi end of Phra Pin Klao Bridge, and its restaurants are almost all on two floors: a front dining zone on G, and the main restaurant floor on 5 beside Major Cineplex and the gym. This guide to Central Pinklao restaurants is for people who live on this side of the river, and for anyone coming over from the Old Town or Khao San for a film who wants to know where to eat before or after. Every entry gives the floor and, where the restaurant publishes it, the room number. Ten of the twelve are inside the mall; the last two are a few hundred metres away on the same road. The order comes from Google rating and review count, sourced dish and price evidence, and editorial judgement.

Budget by format. A one-dish meal costs 100 to 250 baht a head: a KOFUKU rice bowl, The Stone’s udon from 139 baht, or soup and a rice bowl at Jones’ Salad. The sit-down chains, Onkijung, Hwaro, Krua Mueang Wae and Nong Geng Ji, come to 200 to 500 baht. A Central Pinklao buffet or hot pot dinner runs from about 400 to 1,400 baht: Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi from 399++, Haidilao at 501 to 1,000 on Wongnai, and Copper Beyond next door from 999. The nearest station is MRT Bang Yi Khan on the Blue Line, about a kilometre away with no walkway into the mall, so most people drive and park in the building at the back. The last section has the details.

Central Pinklao restaurants by floor

Nearly all the Central Pinklao food worth sitting down for is on two floors. The G floor’s dining zone is at the front of the mall, and it is made up of sit-down chains with their own shopfronts. Three of them are on this list: Nong Geng Ji, Onkijung in unit G10, and Canton Paradise next to Bar B Q Plaza. The 5th floor is the main restaurant floor. It shares the level with Major Cineplex and First Fitness, and holds both Food Park and the Central Pinklao food court as well as the sit-down restaurants. Seven of the twelve are up here: Haidilao, Krua Mueang Wae, Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi, The Stone, Hwaro, Jones’ Salad and KOFUKU.

Pick the floor by what else you are doing. If you have cinema tickets, stay on 5: Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi is beside the cinema, and Hwaro (room 510) and The Stone (room 506) are on the same floor. If you are shopping on the lower floors with children or older parents, G saves the long escalator ride up to 5.

G floor: Hunan, Korean rice bowls and Hong Kong dim sum

The three G-floor restaurants on the list suit very different tables. Nong Geng Ji is the one for people who want heat. Hunan cooking leans on green chilli and pickled greens, and much of the menu is properly hot. If someone at the table cannot take chilli, KTC’s guide to the mall points to garlic prawns steamed over glass noodles and sweet-and-sour fried chicken, and Wongnai reviewers mention an egg custard that does the job of cooling things down. Ordering is by QR code at the table.

Onkijung started in Seoul’s Gangnam district, and its first Thai branch was at CentralWorld. At Pinklao it is the easy answer for two people who want several Korean dishes without a grill or a timer. A single bowl costs 101 to 250 baht on Wongnai, a set meal 251 to 500, and there is a lunch set at midday. A separate BBQ Couple Set is pitched at two to three people.

Canton Paradise is the quiet option, and the one to choose for older relatives who want congee, Hong Kong egg noodles and dim sum rather than chilli. The chain’s Thai menu puts har gow and pork siew mai at 135 baht for three pieces. Read the small print before ordering: 10% service and 7% VAT go on dine-in bills, the glutinous-rice pu-erh tea is charged per person, and Wongnai lists a 21:00 close against Google’s 22:00, so do not leave dinner late. A December 2025 review mentions a half-price dim sum promotion, so ask what is running.

5th-floor Food Park: Haidilao, The Stone and quick lunches

The 5th floor has both the latest meal in the building and the cheapest sit-down ones. Haidilao is at the far end, through the Central Pinklao Food Park zone. Wongnai and Grab both list it at 10:00 to 03:00 every day, so it is the only restaurant on this list still serving after 22:30, and a realistic plan for a group coming out of a late film. The waiting area hands out snacks, drinks and ice cream, and offers massage chairs and free manicures while you hold a queue number. One Wongnai reviewer walked in on a Monday evening with no wait at all. Before ordering a set, ask whether it includes the sauce bar; one reviewer’s 999-baht set did not.

For lunch under 200 baht, look at KOFUKU and The Stone. KOFUKU’s tables take orders by QR code, and Wongnai lists the garlic-butter fried rice with steak and soy-marinated egg at 181 baht. Reviewers are blunt that some curry dishes arrive lukewarm, so stick to the rice bowls and takoyaki. The Stone serves every bowl in a heated stone pot, so keep small children’s hands clear of the rim.

Jones’ Salad, in room 512 opposite First Fitness, is the light meal on the floor. Its soups and a 29-baht purple sweet potato make a snack between shops for under 100 baht, and the menu runs to wraps, steak and cold-pressed juice for a fuller dinner. Krua Mueang Wae, in rooms 523 and 533 opposite Food Patio, works for the table that cannot agree. The Vietnamese side of the menu has Vietnamese pizza, banh hoi with pork belly and prawns wrapped on sugarcane, and the Isan side has tam thad, the som tam platter with sides, and Khao Suan Kwang grilled chicken. The restaurant’s own site says it has been cooking for more than 20 years across eight branches.

Korean grills and buffets by the cinema

Central Pinklao Korean restaurants come in three formats, and two of them are barbecue on the 5th floor. Which grill suits you depends on how hungry your table is. Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi, next to Major Cineplex, is the buffet. The three tiers are 399++, 499++ and 699++ baht, drinks are included, and service charge and VAT go on top, so the bill lands above the headline price. The reason to come is the dish the chain is named after: pork rib marinated in sweet-salty soy and grilled at the table. Wongnai’s reviewer also singles out the French rack, pork belly and pork collar, and finishes with ramyeon. Malay Mail puts the chain at more than 600 outlets, Thailand among them, and the same Wongnai reviewer warns of a queue at dinner and on holidays.

Hwaro, in room 510, sells meat by the plate. It belongs to The Bibimbab Co., a Korean restaurant group founded in Bangkok in 2010, and its branch menu runs to 39 dishes, so people who would rather not grill have soups and rice dishes to choose from. Two light eaters sharing a pair of samgyeopsal sets can come in under Myeongryun’s buffet price. Four big eaters will get more for their money at Myeongryun. Hwaro asks groups to phone the branch before they come.

For hot pot rather than grill, Haidilao is the only choice on this list. For more of both across the city, see hot pot in Bangkok and buffets in Bangkok.

New at Central Pinklao in 2026

The clearest opening of the year is The Stone. Minor Food picked Central Pinklao, not a central business district mall, for the first branch of its first Japanese brand, which opened in room 506 on 27 March 2026, according to Marketing Oops. The idea is udon in a heated stone pot that keeps the soup at temperature, with a choice of three noodles: thin, smooth Inaniwa; thick, chewy Sanuki; and Mochi Udon, a newly developed extra-thick noodle with a soft chew. Soups lead with spicy pork rib and with kimchi and soft tofu, and the dry side of the menu has a Sanuki carbonara. Bowls start at 139 baht, and the company’s stated target is an average bill of 300 baht. Seven side toppings are refilled free.

Nong Geng Ji on G is the other recent arrival. Wongnai reviewers in early 2026 describe it as a new branch with opening promotions, and it now has about 1,800 Google reviews. If you are crossing to The Sense, Copper Beyond’s April 2026 price cut is also new: THE STANDARD reported the starting price falling from 1,359 to 999 baht, with a salad bar of more than 20 items and ten more Japanese dishes added.

Next door: The Sense Pinklao and Bar B Q Resort

Two places on the list are outside Central Pinklao but close enough to plan into the same evening. Copper Beyond Buffet is on the 2nd floor of The Sense Pinklao, a smaller mall about 300 metres along Borommaratchachonnani Road. You order plates from the kitchen as often as you like for two hours, so the steak and sushi arrive made to order. It takes no walk-ins. Bookings open on Copper’s LINE account on the 10th and 25th of each month and are paid in full upfront, so plan a family birthday around those two dates. The LINE page also lists packages from 1,599 to 2,499 baht that add one special plate, from foie gras up to a Wagyu tomahawk. KTC’s menu guide also picks out seared scallops with champagne sauce and khao soi with braised beef cheek.

Bar B Q Resort is down Soi Borommaratchachonnani 2 and is the opposite kind of night out. It is a mookata and seafood buffet at 320 baht net with soft drinks and water, no time limit, its own car park, and an extra grill for 99 baht. Reviewers say freshness varies along the iced counter, with the crab the weak spot, so load up on river prawns, oysters and scallops instead. A December 2024 review found the soft drinks gone by about 22:00.

For the rest of the neighbourhood, from the tables under the bridges to the shabu shops on Charan Sanitwong Road, see Pinklao restaurants. Grill buffets across the city are in mookata in Bangkok.

Getting there by MRT Bang Yi Khan, parking and opening hours

The Central Pinklao MRT stop is Bang Yi Khan on the Blue Line, about a kilometre from the mall. There is no covered link from the station, so it is a 10 to 15 minute walk or a short motorbike taxi ride. Most diners drive. The car park building is behind the main building; a May 2023 Wongnai review describes about 1,000 spaces, free with no time limit, filling quickly in university graduation season. That predates the mall’s 2025 renovation, so check the current terms at the barrier. Copper Beyond uses The Sense’s car park, and Bar B Q Resort has its own.

The same 2023 review lists the mall’s hours as 10:30 to 21:30 Monday to Thursday, to 22:00 on Fridays, and opening at 10:00 at weekends and on holidays. Restaurant listings on Google mostly show 10:00 to 22:00 every day, so treat the mall’s posted hours as the limit for everything except Haidilao. Nong Geng Ji and Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi both open at 10:30, which matters if you are planning an early lunch.

If you are coming over from the other bank, the comparison points are Old Town restaurants and Chinatown restaurants across the river. Driving further west along Borommaratchachonnani, the garden restaurants are in Ratchaphruek restaurants, and down Phetkasem the Bang Khae restaurants guide picks up the next set of malls.

Quick answers

FAQ

7 questions
Which floor are the restaurants on at Central Pinklao?

Two floors. The front dining zone on G holds sit-down chains, including Nong Geng Ji, Onkijung in unit G10 and Canton Paradise beside Bar B Q Plaza. The 5th floor is the main restaurant floor, next to Major Cineplex and First Fitness, with Food Park, Haidilao, Krua Mueang Wae, Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi, The Stone, Hwaro, Jones' Salad and KOFUKU. Copper Beyond and Bar B Q Resort are outside the mall, a few hundred metres up the road.

Is there a food court at Central Pinklao?

Yes. Wongnai lists a Food Court and a Food Park zone at the mall, and the restaurant listings put both on the 5th floor: Haidilao is reached through Food Park, and KOFUKU's listing places it opposite the food court. Krua Mueang Wae's own site uses a third name, Food Patio, for the area opposite its rooms 523 and 533. Tops Supermarket also has a food zone.

Which Central Pinklao restaurant is open latest?

Haidilao on the 5th floor, which Wongnai and Grab both list at 10:00 to 03:00 every day. Every other restaurant on this list inside the mall closes by 22:00, except Krua Mueang Wae, which stays to 22:30 on Thursdays. Outside the mall, Bar B Q Resort on Soi Borommaratchachonnani 2 opens at 16:00 and runs to midnight by Google's hours, or 01:00 by Wongnai's.

How do I get to Central Pinklao by MRT?

Take the Blue Line to MRT Bang Yi Khan, the nearest station, about a kilometre from the mall at 7/222 Borommaratchachonnani Road. There is no walkway from the station into the building, so allow 10 to 15 minutes on foot or take a motorbike taxi. The Sense Pinklao, home of Copper Beyond Buffet, is about 300 metres further along the same road.

What is the best buffet near Central Pinklao, and do I need to book?

Inside the mall, Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi on the 5th floor is a Korean pork barbecue buffet from 399++ baht; it takes walk-ins but queues at dinner and on holidays. Next door, Copper Beyond at The Sense starts at 999 baht per THE STANDARD, or 1,599 to 2,499 on its LINE page, and takes no walk-ins: book on its LINE account when slots open on the 10th and 25th, paying in full. Bar B Q Resort's 320-baht seafood mookata needs no booking.

Which restaurants opened at Central Pinklao in 2026?

The Stone, on the 5th floor in room 506, opened on 27 March 2026, according to Marketing Oops. It is Minor Food's first Japanese brand and this is its first branch: udon in a heated stone pot from 139 baht, with Inaniwa, Sanuki or Mochi noodles. Nong Geng Ji's Hunan restaurant on G was also new in early 2026, when Wongnai reviewers wrote about its opening promotions.

Are there Korean restaurants at Central Pinklao?

Three, each doing something different. Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi on the 5th floor is the pork barbecue buffet, from 399++ baht. Hwaro in room 510 sells barbecue by the plate, with a samgyeopsal set at 295 baht before VAT. Onkijung on G, unit G10, serves overflowing Gangnam-style rice bowls and a Couple Set that covers two people without a grill.
