Brunch in Bangkok is a cafe meal more than a hotel event, and it starts early. Half of the places in this guide open at 07:00 or 07:30, before the heat, and several close by mid-afternoon. This list is for residents and visitors who want eggs, coffee and a long table in a particular neighbourhood, with prices checked against public sources. It covers 14 brunch spots across Thonglor, Ekkamai, Ari, Phrom Phong, Sathorn, Silom, Charoen Krung, On Nut and Bang Na, plus the Sunday hotel buffets that many people mean by brunch. Ranking comes from Google rating and review volume, dishes and prices checked against public sources, and editorial judgement.

Budget in three bands. A cafe brunch runs about 180 to 450 baht a head: NICO NICO’s breakfast plate is 260 baht and Popcup’s spaghetti 290. A restaurant brunch at Lucca, Sarnies or D’ARK costs 400 to 900 baht with coffee, and Lucca adds 10 percent service and 7 percent tax. Sunday hotel brunch buffets run from 1,590 to 3,900 baht net in the examples below, with free-flow alcohol extra. By rail, the cluster stations are BTS Thong Lo and Ekkamai, BTS Ari, BTS Phrom Phong, BTS Chong Nonsi and Saint Louis for Sathorn, and BTS Saphan Taksin for Charoen Krung.

Brunch in Bangkok: cafe brunch vs hotel buffet, what each costs

The two formats do different jobs. A cafe brunch is a weekday or Saturday thing, built on egg dishes, sourdough and specialty coffee, and it rarely needs a booking. A hotel Sunday brunch is a three-hour buffet, often with live stations and free-flow drinks, booked in advance for a birthday or a family table. Prices are not comparable: Lucca’s whole brunch menu sits below 500 baht a plate, while The Sukhothai Bangkok’s Sunday brunch voucher is 3,900 baht net per person.

Check the small print on both. Many restaurants add 10 percent service and 7 percent VAT, shown as ++ on the menu. Hotel prices are often quoted net. Several cafes in this list close by 16:00 or 17:00, so the late brunch that works in other cities can mean a closed door here.

Brunch in Thonglor and Ekkamai

Thonglor’s two brunch rooms in this guide both sit on Thonglor Road. Lucca at 125/26 Thonglor Road calls itself Mediterranean all-day dining with specialty coffee and runs from 07:00 to 23:00, so brunch can stretch into dinner. NICO NICO in the DM Home building near Soi 21 does a Japanese-leaning plate of curry scrambled eggs, chashu and sake-fried mushrooms with yudane toast, and sells Japanese breads such as melon pan and shokupan. Google lists 07:00 to 16:00, The Standard 08:00 to 17:00 and Time Out a closing time as late as 18:00; every source agrees it is not a dinner place. Building parking helps. See Thonglor restaurants for the street.

Ekkamai’s brunch is quieter. Popcup sits in an old house on Soi Ekkamai 4, five to seven minutes from the BTS, with indoor and outdoor seats, pets allowed and a house pistachio cream on toast at 230 baht. It is built for long, slow sessions and closes at 17:00.

Brunch in Ari

Ari brunch is mostly cafe culture: garden seats, coffee roasters and short walks from BTS Ari. Nana Coffee Roasters’ garden on Soi Ari 4 opens at 07:00 on weekdays and 08:00 at weekends, and The Standard points drivers to the Laan Rot@Ari car park between Soi 4 and 5. Kopihub Prime on Soi Ari 2 is the Thai answer to brunch, with Hat Yai dim sum, pa tong ko and kopi from 07:00 at weekends, a car park of its own and a LINE queue. The Standard’s September 2023 write-up listed a Thursday closure that Google’s hours do not show, so check its page before a Thursday visit. Lucky’s Hungry on Soi Ari 3 does American fried rice and a breakfast menu, though its hours differ by source. More in Ari cafes and Ari restaurants.

Brunch in Sathorn, Silom and the riverside

Sathorn’s brunch is for office mornings and Sunday roasts. (Not Just) Another Cup on Sathorn Soi 10 opens at 07:00 with salads and wholegrain pasta, and Kai New Zealand on Sathorn Soi 12 does the Sunday roast with free valet at weekends; both are covered in Sathorn restaurants. In Silom, Veganerie’s branch in the Baan Silom building serves a fully vegan all-day breakfast; more in vegan restaurants in Bangkok.

By the river, Sarnies on Charoen Krung Soi 44 fills two century-old shophouses that Time Out Thailand rates five stars, and opens at 08:00. The rest of the riverside is in riverside restaurants in Bangkok.

Sunday brunch buffets in Bangkok, and free-flow deals

On a Sunday, brunch in Bangkok usually means a hotel buffet. Two current examples show the range. The Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn runs a Sunday brunch at The Glass House on the first and third Sunday of each month from April 2026, 12:00 to 15:00, at 1,590 baht net instead of the regular 2,250. The Sukhothai Bangkok’s Sunday brunch is sold at 3,900 baht net per person including a welcome drink, soft drinks, tea and coffee, with vouchers valid until 28 December 2026. Time Out’s brunch round-up prices free-flow wine, cocktails or champagne as separate add-ons.

Best breakfast in Bangkok: early openers and all-day breakfast

For breakfast, go early. Lucca, Sarnies Sukhumvit, (Not Just) Another Cup and Nana Coffee Roasters Ari open at 07:00; Better Half in Bang Na and Passionrista on On Nut Soi 10 open at 07:30. D’ARK at EmQuartier and Veganerie run all-day breakfast menus, D’ARK serving brunch until 18:00. For coffee-first mornings, see cafes in Bangkok.

Quick answers

FAQ

7 questions
Where is the best brunch in Bangkok?

For the full brunch menu, Lucca on Thonglor Road runs from 07:00 to 23:00 with three egg benedicts and a pancake stack. NICO NICO, also on Thonglor, is the pick for a Japanese-style breakfast plate at 260 baht. Sarnies on Charoen Krung 44 has the tom yum eggs benedict. In Ari, Kopihub's weekend dim sum from 07:00 is the local alternative to eggs and toast.

Which Bangkok hotels do Sunday brunch buffets?

Most large hotels do, and prices vary widely. The Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn runs a Sunday brunch at The Glass House on the first and third Sunday of each month, 12:00 to 15:00, at 1,590 baht net against a regular 2,250. The Sukhothai Bangkok's Sunday brunch is listed at 3,900 baht net with soft drinks, tea and coffee. Free-flow alcohol is usually an extra charge.

Is there a cheap brunch in Bangkok?

Yes. Better Half in Bang Na serves a beef kaprao with dried chilli at 150 baht and an 85-baht Americano. Kopihub in Ari sells Hat Yai dim sum at 25 to 30 baht a piece with 35-baht coffee. Lucky's Hungry in Ari did its classic American fried rice for 229 baht in 2024. Thai breakfast staples such as jok and khao man gai cost 50 to 80 baht at stalls.

Which neighbourhood is best for brunch in Bangkok?

Thonglor has two dedicated brunch rooms, Lucca and NICO NICO, both on Thonglor Road. Ari is the relaxed alternative, with Nana Coffee Roasters' garden, Kopihub and Lucky's Hungry near BTS Ari. Phrom Phong has Sarnies Sukhumvit and D'ARK at EmQuartier. Sathorn and Charoen Krung suit people staying near the river, with Sarnies on Soi 44 and Kai on Sathorn Soi 12.

Do Bangkok brunch spots take reservations?

Some do. Lucca Thonglor takes bookings through LINE; Kai New Zealand recommends booking for Sunday roast. Kopihub runs a LINE queue rather than reservations. Sarnies, NICO NICO and most small cafes are walk-in, so a large group should call ahead. Hotel Sunday brunches need a booking and often sell vouchers in advance.

Is there bottomless or free-flow brunch in Bangkok?

Yes, mainly at hotels. Free-flow wine, cocktails or champagne is normally sold as an add-on to a Sunday buffet; Time Out's brunch round-up shows free-flow packages priced separately from the food. Independent cafes in this guide do not run bottomless deals. Check whether a price is net or plus 17 percent service and tax, as the difference is large on a buffet.

What time do brunch cafes open in Bangkok?

Earlier than visitors expect. Lucca Thonglor, Sarnies Sukhumvit and (Not Just) Another Cup open at 07:00, as does Nana Coffee Roasters Ari on weekdays. Better Half (closed Wednesdays) and Passionrista open at 07:30, and Sarnies Charoen Krung, D'ARK and Popcup at 08:00. NICO NICO's hours differ by source, from 07:00 on Google to 08:00 in The Standard. Popcup and Passionrista close at 17:00.
