ICONSIAM restaurants fill every floor of the building, and most people arrive with the same three questions: which floor, which tables look at the river, and how to get across without sitting in traffic on Charoen Nakhon Road. TrueID counts 74 places to eat in the mall, and the mall’s own page puts the total above 170 once dessert shops and cafés are added. This guide picks twelve restaurants in ICONSIAM, the riverside mall in Khlong San, whose menus and prices could be checked against public sources, gives the floor and zone for each, and maps the rest of the mall’s food around them. It is written for expats meeting friends on the Thonburi bank and for visitors who came for the shops or the river and now need somewhere to sit down. The order weighs Google rating and review volume, dishes that more than one source backs up, and editorial judgement.

ICONSIAM food comes in three price levels. SookSiam on the G floor is the cheap end, 60 to 250 baht a head for a loop of small plates. Sit-down chains cost a few hundred more: Tonkatsu AOKI on the 4th floor runs about 400 to 700 baht a head. River-view and occasion meals start near 500 and climb quickly: JUMBO Seafood 500 to 1,000, Fallabella 500 to 1,200, Bread Street Kitchen 800 to 2,500, Great Harbour’s buffet 899 to 1,300, and Blue by Alain Ducasse 2,550 to 8,500 baht a head. The fastest way in is the BTS Gold Line to Charoen Nakhon station, which connects to the mall by walkway; the Gold Line meets the BTS Silom line at Krung Thon Buri. The other way is the shuttle boat from Sathorn Pier under BTS Saphan Taksin. Driving works, but Charoen Nakhon Road jams on most evenings.

ICONSIAM restaurants floor by floor: G to the floor-6 terrace

The mall names its food zones, and learning the names is the quickest way to find any ICONSIAM restaurant. The same names apply whether you look for restaurants in Icon Siam Bangkok on a map app or on the mall’s own directory. The G floor has four zones. SookSiam is the indoor market. The Veranda is the row of sit-down restaurants along the river, where D’ARK and JUMBO Seafood are. Rose Food Avenue belongs to Siam Takashimaya, the Japanese department store inside the mall, and holds quick Japanese counters. Dear Tummy is a strip of low-priced counters. One level down, the UG floor has Shoo Loong Kan and Sushiro. The 1st floor of the ICONLUXE wing is where Blue by Alain Ducasse sits, and the 2nd and 3rd floors have stand-alone restaurants: KJP on the river side and Greyhound Cafe on 2, Bread Street Kitchen on 3.

The 4th floor splits in two. ICON EATS is the chains and buffets: Tonkatsu AOKI, BBQ Plaza, Evaime Shabu and Tenjo Sushi & Yakiniku. Rose Dining, on the Takashimaya side, is the higher-end Japanese row, with Katsukura, Kamui Hokkaido Dining, Kissyan, Otaru Masazushi and Unagi Toku. The 5th floor is called Dining on 5th, with Baan Ice for southern Thai food, Kub Kao Kub Pla, Laem Charoen Seafood, Hong Bao and Nice Two Meat U. The 6th floor has more restaurants than any other. The Alangkarn zone holds more than twenty chains, Great Harbour takes room 629, and the Tasana Nakorn Terrace on the river side is the open-air rooftop where Fallabella and the HOBS bar trade.

A simple rule for a first visit: for the river, look for The Veranda on G or the terrace on 6; for the most choice in the least time, go up to 4 or 6; for cheap, stay on G.

SookSiam: the ICONSIAM food court on G, what to eat and what it costs

Most people call SookSiam, also spelled Sook Siam, the ICONSIAM food court, though it works more like an indoor market. The whole G-floor zone is built to look like a Thai floating market, with staged canals, wooden boats and stalls meant to stand for all 77 provinces, all under air-conditioning. Each shop is its own business, so you order and pay at the counter and carry the plate to shared seating. Lorenzigo’s 2026 guide puts most plates at 60 to 120 baht and suggests bringing 500 to 1,000 baht in cash, because a few small stalls would rather not take cards.

The names worth finding, from TrueID’s list: Boon Tong Kee for Singapore-style chicken rice; Hua Seng Hong, the Yaowarat Chinese restaurant with a menu of more than two hundred dishes; Khao Soi Lamduan Faham from Chiang Mai, which also serves nam ngiao; Siam Naem Nueang for Vietnamese-style pork rolls; Arun Sawat for stewed beef and pork noodles; and Phloen Phung for noodles and one-plate rice. A Wongnai review of Phu Thai Kai Yang in the same zone gives a grilled chicken leg at 80 baht, grilled pork neck at 100 and a salted-egg salad with Vietnamese pork sausage at 170. trvlogue’s guide adds khao kha moo (braised pork leg on rice), Cha Tra Mue Thai tea and crispy butter rolls as the popular buys.

One thing catches first-timers: the shops close on their own clocks, many around 21:00, an hour before the mall. Lorenzigo’s advice is the right one: walk the whole loop first, then buy small portions from three or four shops rather than one big plate at the first counter. For visitors who want regional Thai food without a hot outdoor market, this is the easy version.

ICONSIAM restaurants with a river view

Six restaurants on this list have a river view that sources confirm, spread over five floors. On G, D’ARK sits by the pier entrance with floor-to-ceiling glass and a terrace onto River Park; Thailand Magazine recommends the outdoor seats in the evening, when the fountain show runs. JUMBO Seafood, further along The Veranda, has big windows rather than a terrace. On the 1st floor, Blue’s dining room faces the Chao Phraya. KJP on 2 is on the river side of the building, and Bread Street Kitchen on 3 has a balcony; ask for a balcony table when you book on OpenTable.

For the widest view, go up to the Tasana Nakorn Terrace on 6. Fallabella takes the river edge, and HOBS, which Airportels says has live music in the evening, shares the terrace. Arriving after 17:30 gets you the last of the daylight and then the far bank lighting up. TrueID also names Nara Thai Cuisine on 3 and ThongSmith boat noodles on 4 as riverside rooms. Know what you are looking at: from ICONSIAM the view is across to the Charoen Krung bank and its hotels, not Wat Arun, which is further upriver by the old town.

For a Chao Phraya restaurant outside a mall, the hotel dining rooms and shophouses on the opposite bank are in riverside restaurants in Bangkok, and both banks together are in restaurants along the Chao Phraya. For high terraces across the rest of the city, see rooftop restaurants in Bangkok.

Cheap ICONSIAM food under 300 baht

Most cheap ICONSIAM food is on the G floor, in two places. SookSiam is the obvious one. The other is Dear Tummy, the smaller ICONSIAM food hall of quick counters: TrueID lists Bibigo, Ya Kun Kaya Toast from Singapore, and a mala tang shop where you choose ingredients by weight from 59 baht per 100 grams. Inside Siam Takashimaya on the same floor, Rose Food Avenue does fast Japanese food; TrueID says Nakajima Suisan prices its fish close to what it costs in Japan, and Omakase Don by Teppen sells rice bowls.

Inside SookSiam, Jae Daeng Samyan is the Isan counter on this list, for grilled pork neck, sticky rice and som tam; its prices are not published, so read the board before ordering. For a table upstairs, Ryoii says dishes at Kub Kao Kub Pla on the 5th floor start around 90 baht, and Evaime Shabu on the 4th runs all-you-can-eat shabu from 299. Hungry Hub lists Cam’s Roast from 425 baht if the budget stretches. For cheaper food outside the mall, cross back to the other bank: the shophouses in Chinatown restaurants are a few express-boat stops upriver.

Buffets, shabu and Japanese restaurants at ICONSIAM

Great Harbour on the 6th floor is a big buffet: around 400 seats, more than 80 dishes, and lunch and dinner sittings with a two-hour limit when booked through the platforms. Wongnai users go back for the cheese-baked prawns, wagyu noodle soup and Peking duck. Treat the price like an airfare. Ryoii gives 1,099++ baht at the door, Hungry Hub has sold packages from 899, and Eatigo advertised up to 50% off in March 2026. For a cheaper all-you-can-eat, Evaime Shabu in ICON EATS on 4 runs 299 to 799 baht according to Ryoii, and TrueID counts more than ten dipping sauces and seven broths; Tenjo Sushi & Yakiniku beside it is a sushi-and-grill buffet. To compare prices across the city, see buffets in Bangkok.

More shabu and sukiyaki is on 6, at Mo-Mo-Paradise and Yuzu Suki, while Kissyan in Rose Dining on 4 serves A5 wagyu shabu, according to TrueID. The hottest pot in the building is downstairs at Shoo Loong Kan on UG, where the beef-tallow mala shares the pot with tomato, mushroom or pork-bone broth for anyone who wants a mild half. ThaiPR’s launch report gave it a 03:00 close, but Google now lists midnight, so phone before a late visit. More in hot pot in Bangkok.

Japanese food is the mall’s largest category. The 6th floor has IPPUDO, Sushi Den, Yayoi, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu and Tonkatsu Wako. Rose Dining on 4 is the upscale row, with Kamui Hokkaido Dining, which TrueID calls the first and only branch in Thailand, as well as Katsukura and Unagi Toku for eel. From the list above, Tonkatsu AOKI is the pick for thick-cut pork with a choice of salts, and Sancheck on 6 for Japanese home cooking with Korean seasoning. The whole city is covered in Japanese restaurants in Bangkok.

Special-occasion dinners: Blue by Alain Ducasse, Bread Street Kitchen, Fallabella

Blue by Alain Ducasse holds one star in the Michelin Guide Thailand 2026. Its guide.michelin.com page describes Peruvian executive chef Evens López cooking French fine dining with Southeast Asian ingredients and Mediterranean touches, ending with a seasonal Delight Collection of small desserts. The real decision is lunch or dinner. Michelin includes the five-course lunch at 2,550++ baht among the least expensive starred meals in Bangkok, and a June 2026 release prices the seven-course Voyage at 8,500. Michelin lists dinner every night, but lunch is not served on Tuesday or Wednesday, so plan the cheaper meal for another day. Two private rooms, Bronze for six and Pink for eight to ten, work for family celebrations. The rest of the starred list is in Michelin restaurants in Bangkok.

One step down in formality, Bread Street Kitchen on 3 is the birthday-dinner room: an open kitchen, a river balcony, and a beef wellington made with a kilo of Australian tenderloin that is meant to be shared. Time Out notes that New Year’s Eve tables are hard to get, so book early for that night. Fallabella on the 6th-floor terrace is the relaxed choice, with pizza, grilled beef and the river bend in front of you as the sun goes down.

If you would rather eat on the water than beside it, Hungry Hub sells dinner-cruise packages that board at ICONSIAM, including Saffron Cruise from 2,850 baht and Meridian Cruise at 599 to 650.

Getting to ICONSIAM by Gold Line, shuttle boat or car

The Gold Line skips the traffic. It runs from Krung Thon Buri on the BTS Silom line to Charoen Nakhon station, which ThaiPR and Airportels both describe as linked to the mall by walkway. From Silom or Sukhumvit, ride the Silom line to Krung Thon Buri and change there.

By river, the shuttle boat leaves from Sathorn Pier beside BTS Saphan Taksin. When the mall opened in 2018, Time Out reported free boats every 10 minutes from 08:00 to 23:30, more boats from Ratchawong, Si Phraya and the CAT Tower pier in Bang Rak from 09:00 to 23:00, and a shuttle bus from BTS Krung Thon Buri exit 1 every 15 minutes. That schedule is eight years old, so check the current times and any fare at the pier. The Chao Phraya Express also stops at ICONSIAM, and the pier lands you at The Veranda, next to D’ARK.

Drivers can use the mall’s car parks, but Charoen Nakhon Road backs up most evenings and at weekends, so the train or the boat is nearly always quicker. Si Phraya pier on the opposite bank is a short crossing, and from there Charoen Krung’s shophouses are a few minutes on foot. Plan around closing times: the mall shuts at 22:00, many SookSiam shops around 21:00, and Fallabella and Shoo Loong Kan list later hours on Google that other sources dispute. For the other big mall food floors in the city centre, see Siam Paragon restaurants or Siam restaurants.
