About
Tonkatsu AOKI started in Kamata, Tokyo, in 2011 and has 16 branches in Japan, Ginza among them. MAGURO Group brought it to Thailand in December 2024, opening first at CentralWorld. The ICONSIAM branch is unit 401/2 on the fourth floor, in the ICON EATS zone that also holds BBQ Plaza and Tenjo.
The draw is thick-cut pork eaten with three house salts (black Himalayan, pink Himalayan and sea salt) as well as sauce, alongside Niigata Koshihikari rice. The Standard's launch article (December 2024) listed the sets: Rosu (loin) and Hire (fillet) from 320 baht, a 200 g premium Tokuhire fillet at 490, the 300 g Kata set of Hokkaido shoulder at 890, a 400 g Ribu set at 990 in limited daily numbers, and a tonkatsu curry set at 450. A later Wongnai review at CentralWorld quotes 690 for the Kata set and notes that prices are subject to 10 percent service and 7 percent VAT, so check the ICONSIAM menu for current prices. Phuket101 mentions big tiger prawns sold alone or in a mixed set with pork, and sesame you grind yourself for the sauce.
Expect 400 to 700 baht a head. Google lists 11:00 to 22:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 at weekends, with 4.7 from 471 reviews. At the Langsuan branch Phuket101 found sets starting around 400 to 500 baht.
