About

Shoo Loong Kan, also written Xiaolongkan, is a Sichuan hot pot chain with more than 1,000 branches worldwide. ThaiPR reported in October 2023 that the ICONSIAM branch on the UG floor was its first and only one in Thailand. The room is decorated in Chinese style, and each pot can be split into up to three broths.

The house broth is butter mala made with beef tallow, and it carries the heat. Pork bone, tomato and mushroom broths give anyone who avoids chilli something to cook in. ThaiPR names two signature plates: Guifei beef, marinated and served in a gold bowl, and minced pork laid on edible red rose petals. The meat list runs from Kurobuta pork and A5 wagyu to lamb, pork intestine and duck intestine, with tiger prawns, scallops and minced squid on the seafood side. The house dipping sauce is a Sichuan blend on a sesame-oil base, with oyster-sauce and chilli dips as alternatives. Finish with bingfen, a jelly dessert from southwest China.

Bangkok prices have not been published. Closing time is also unclear: the launch release said 03:00, while Google lists midnight, so call 02 019 9988 before a late visit. Take the BTS Gold Line to Charoen Nakhon (G2). Google rates it 4.9 from 1,347 reviews.
