About

Prachak is a single-shophouse roast duck restaurant on Charoen Krung Road opposite Robinson Bang Rak, about 300 metres from BTS Saphan Taksin. The shop calls itself a 112-year legend; a 2021 Naew Na feature traces it to a grandfather from China who sold from a cart across the road before leasing the building late in King Rama V's reign and running a Chinese restaurant, later switching to one-plate meals. The third generation runs it now. The duck recipe began Chinese and gained Thai aromatics, ginger, galangal, lemongrass, garlic and kaffir lime leaf, over a fermented soybean base. Wongnai lists duck on rice at 79 baht, duck noodles 86, the chepo mixed plate of duck, red pork, crispy pork, pork leg and Chinese sausage at 125, and a whole duck at 865. Google gives it 4.3 from more than 4,200 reviews. Hours differ by source, Google says 08:00 to 20:30 while Naew Na says until 22:00, so arrive before 20:00. There is no parking; use Robinson Bang Rak and walk over.
