About
Saawaan is a Thai tasting-menu restaurant on Soi Suan Phlu off South Sathorn. Its own site records one Michelin star from 2019 to 2022, and the MICHELIN Guide Bangkok 2019 results on guide.michelin.com list it among that year's new one-star restaurants. Its guide.michelin.com page, checked in October 2026, shows no distinction and describes a set menu that plays with Thai flavours through fermenting, steaming, boiling and charcoal grilling, using imported and local produce, priced at ฿฿฿ and tagged for date night. When BK Magazine reviewed it in 2019 it named the fermented beef salad, crab-fat dip, grilled pork neck and spicy-sour soups as standouts. The restaurant's site does not publish the tasting-menu price; a Wongnai review from April 2025 recorded the tasting menu at 2,790 baht and the wine pairing at 1,990, so check the current figure when booking. Michelin lists hours of 17:30 to 23:30 daily, dinner only, with booking through the site's Book Now button. Suan Phlu is more than ten minutes on foot from BTS Chong Nonsi or MRT Lumphini, so a taxi into the soi is easier. Google: 4.7 from 676 reviews.
