About
Khun Pa Rad Na, which regulars still call Kiang Na Wat Yang, is a shophouse noodle kitchen on On Nut Road opposite the mouth of On Nut Soi 23 that has been trading for thirty years according to its own signboard. The main order is rad na, rice noodles in a thick gravy with young greens, and you choose the noodle: wide sen yai, thin rice vermicelli or egg noodles. Ryoii notes you can add a fried egg on top, and the same kitchen turns out pad see ew, char siu pork rice and wonton noodles. Grab describes the gravy as fragrant and well rounded. Plates run 40 to 50 baht by Ryoii's account, about half what the same dish costs near the top of Sukhumvit. What sets it apart is the hours: Google lists 10:30 to 02:00 daily, Grab agrees on 02:00 and Ryoii says 01:00, so call ahead for a post-midnight bowl. It sits about two kilometres in from BTS On Nut, so take a motorbike taxi from the station or park on the road. Google rating 4.3 from more than five hundred reviews.
