About
Khun Phat Mookata is a pay-by-weight mookata shop at the mouth of Soi Ramkhamhaeng 65, next to a petrol station, on the Wang Thonglang side. Mookata is the Thai tabletop pan that grills meat on the dome and simmers soup in the moat. This shop is not a buffet. You pick meat and seafood from the counter, it is weighed by the 100 grams, and you cook it yourself at the table.
Wongnai reviewers describe two starting sets: a small one with half a kilo of pork from 229 baht and a large one with a full kilo for 399 baht. Marinated pork, pork belly, seafood and several kinds of shellfish can be added by weight. Because you pay for what you take, there is no clock and no fine for leftovers. Wongnai puts the spend at 101 to 250 baht a head; cards are accepted and there are roughly 41 to 80 seats.
The listings disagree in places. Google shows the shop open from 16:00 to midnight; Wongnai says it opens at 15:30, that dine-in ends at 21:00 and that takeaway runs to 22:00, so come early in the evening. Google gives the address as 378 at the mouth of Soi 65, while Wongnai gives 395/1 Lat Phrao Road. Google rates it 4.9 from 152 reviews.
