Best for A cheap late supper with friends in Hua Mak after 22:00
About
Jae Nee Khao Tom Paet Riu is a late-night khao tom parlour of the old Bangkok kind: plain rice soup at 10 baht a bowl, with a long list of stir-fries, yam salads and soups to share around it. It is in Soi Ramkhamhaeng 19/1 in Hua Mak. The shop's own site says to look for the soi sign near the Hua Mak post office, turn in, and find it on the left about 30 metres down.
A Wongnai reviewer in March 2025 paid 120 baht for moo tom buay (pork simmered with salted plum), 150 for squid stir-fried with salted egg, 140 for prawns tossed with chilli and salt, and 70 for bitter-gourd shoots flash-fried over high heat. Other reviewers point to tom yum with grouper, crispy gourami salad (yam pla salit) and garlic chives with tofu, and the shop's own description adds spicy chicken-feet soup. Wongnai's spend band is 101 to 250 baht a head.
It opens late in the afternoon and runs into the small hours: Google shows 16:30 to 03:00, while Wongnai lists 16:00 to 02:00 with an earlier close on Thursdays. There are 41 to 80 seats, split between an air-conditioned room and tables outside. Google rates it 4.8 from 2,209 reviews.
