About
Jae Jong's fried pork started about 20 years ago in a soi behind Lotus's Rama 4. Thairath's January 2025 profile of the owner, Jongjai Kitsawaeng, says her children now run 24 branches inside and outside malls, all using pork marinated to the original shop's recipe. The Samyan Mitrtown outlet is a cart-style counter in the B1 restaurant zone, opposite GAGA according to a Wongnai reviewer, near the walkway from MRT Sam Yan. Another reviewer likes it because it spares you the queue at the Khlong Toei original.
Prices in Wongnai reviews from 2025 and 2026: fried pork at 45 baht per khit (100 grams) or 80 baht for two, about 75 baht for a khit with sticky rice, moo sam kler at 45 baht per khit and garlic-fried pork liver at 40 baht per khit. The counter also sells moo yor, hor mok, nam prik kak moo, nam prik pla salid, fish-sauce fried pork belly and naem.
Reviewers praise the crisp crust, the jaew dip and the value. The complaints: pork that has sat on the tray goes lukewarm and greasy, and the seasoning can run salty. Takeaway comes in lidded paper boxes with a small tub of jaew. Wongnai rates it 3.5 from 39 ratings.
