About

Ojo is the Mexican restaurant on the 76th floor of The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, two floors below the Sky Beach deck and three minutes from BTS Chong Nonsi; BK Magazine put it about 300 metres above Bangkok, and it is a rooftop where the kitchen matters more than the bar. BK Magazine's first look in 2024 placed chef Francisco 'Paco' Ruano at the pass, with Alonso Luna Zarate, and its October 2024 report on the new lunch menu listed the ensalada de la estación with burrata and tomatillos at 490 baht, a taquito de cerdo with pork-head terrine at 520, smoked mushrooms in their jus with white beans at 1,200 and a lamb barbacoa cooked with mezcal and served with tortillas and salsas at 2,200. Earlier coverage named an aguachile of tiger prawns, a coconut ceviche and a short-rib birria. Reviewers describe the room as retro-glam with an open-air terrace and 360-degree views, and single out the natural wines and tequila list. Hours and dress code are not published on an accessible page; book through the hotel. Google 4.5 from more than 3,100 reviews. The terrace at dusk is as good as any bar on this list, and you get dinner.
