Bueng Yai is a large pond-side garden restaurant on the Eastern Outer Ring Road frontage between On Nut and Bang Na, at the mouth of Soi Kanchanaphisek 57 in Prawet, about 15 minutes by car from the Bang Na intersection. Wongnai lists more than 150 seats, a wide waterside terrace, private rooms for 10 to 50 people, karaoke rooms in several sizes and parking out front; one reviewer describes vendors paddling boats on the pond selling grilled squid and meatballs. The most-recommended dishes on Wongnai are the seafood hor mok steamed in young coconut, fish fried with fish sauce, grilled prawns, prawn cakes, steamed squid with lime and thick seafood tom yum.
