About

Jad Jan is an Isan som tam shop inside Chatuchak Weekend Market. Wongnai places it at Section 4, Soi 2, by Gate 23, about 400 m from MRT Kamphaeng Phet and 500 m from BTS Mo Chit; Funliday's 2026 market guide gives Section 4, Soi 50/2. Both agree on the section, so follow the signs for Section 4 and ask from there.

What reviewers repeat is the queue. There is nearly always one, but it is orderly, food comes out fast, and staff keep track of which tables are still waiting. Seating is a mix of tables along the fence outside and an air-conditioned area. The Wongnai menu lists fried chicken wings at 75 baht, grilled pork neck at 85 baht, salted-egg papaya salad at 70 baht, salted-egg corn som tam at 80 baht and blue crab salad at 150 baht. Reviewers lean toward the plain Thai-style som tam over the crab version, and one calls the mushroom tom saep the best dish on the table. Funliday warns the cooking carries full Isan heat and suggests asking for less chilli.

Open Saturday and Sunday from 10:30; Google and Funliday give a 19:30 close, Wongnai 19:00. Wongnai's per-person band is 101–250 baht. Google shows 4.3 from about 510 reviews.
