About

De Chote Café & Living Room is the first house on the left in Soi Phetkasem 88, next to the Toyota dealership and a few hundred metres west of The Mall Bangkae. Google shows more than 2,100 reviews at an average of 4.7. The setting is what people come for: a glasshouse in a shaded garden, an outdoor pavilion beside a small artificial waterfall and an air-conditioned room inside. Wongnai reviewers agree on the garden and the photo corners, and several also find the prices high for the neighbourhood.

The menu covers Thai home cooking and Western plates. Wongnai members recommend the salted-egg fried squid, fried chicken with fish sauce and a 59-baht spicy kaprao fried rice; one review puts shrimp fried rice around 250 baht and the Italian dishes at 400–500. Ryoii picks the pumpkin soup, Caesar salad and crab curry with wild betel leaves, and Wongnai's Bang Khae list adds salted-egg seafood and fried sea bass topped with fresh herbs (pla kaphong lui suan). Drinks include a smoked Thai tea and a butterfly-pea and pandan coconut drink.

Opening hours differ by source: Google shows 11:00 to 20:00, Grab 08:00 to 21:00 and Ryoii 08:00 to 22:00. Expect 250–500 baht a head.
