Third House Cafe Third House Cafe (เธิร์ดเฮาส์ คาเฟ่)
Best for A quiet weekday-morning coffee for one or two near Lak Song.
About
Third House Cafe is a renovated old house at the top of Soi Phetkasem 55 in Lak Song, west of the Phetkasem–Kanchanaphisek junction, done out in wood, brick and marble with flowers and photo corners. BK Magazine wrote it up for the coffee: 11 beans from Thai producers, light to dark roast, and a signature Espresso Con Panna, dark-roast espresso under whipped cream and caramel sauce. At the time of that piece the in-house bakery was making a dark chocolate marshmallow "soft coffee" and a tiramisu built on sponge cake instead of ladyfingers.
Wongnai reviewers paid 75 baht for a less-sweet cappuccino and 65 baht for sourdough that came out warm. There are two floors and 11–40 seats. The ceilings are low and some chairs and tables sit low, which not every reviewer found comfortable, and the owner told one reviewer the upstairs would open at weekends first. Wi-Fi, card payment and pets are all fine.
Google rates it 4.8 from more than 200 reviews, while Wongnai has only three reviews, so read the scores lightly. Coffee and a pastry come to roughly 65–150 baht a head, and it opens at 07:30, early enough for a coffee before work.
