About

Fatboy Izakaya's Ekkamai branch is at 56/2-3 Soi Ekkamai 2, near the mouth of Ekkamai, the second room after the Silom original. The chef is Arnie Marcella, whom Time Out credits with the earlier Carbar at 72 Courtyard. The food is Japanese small plates with a twist. Time Out's Thai edition listed ramen cacio e pepe and the hamburg at 280 baht each, crispy chicken skin at 120 and the eight-piece Fatboy Roll at 650 (a Gaysorn-branch review has the roll at 750 and the skin at 140). BK Magazine covered a lunch menu launched at Ekkamai: curried mushroom katsu 300 baht, crispy koji chicken leg 400, wagyu teriyaki 460, sashimi 550 and lacquered lamb rib 650, all with miso soup. Cocktails run about 250 to 380 baht, the yuzu highball at 250. A 2024 Wongnai diner reported 501 to 1,000 baht a head. Google shows Monday to Thursday 17:00 to midnight and from noon Friday to Sunday. The same crew runs Somsak, a Thai restaurant at Ekkamai Corner. Google 4.7 from 1,343 reviews.
