About
Cadence by Dan Bark is the fine-dining room of Korean-American chef Dan Bark, who came up through Chicago kitchens, at 225 Soi Pridi Banomyong 25, the lane that connects through from the upper end of Ekkamai. It opened in 2020 and a Michelin Guide article from January 2021 records a star after only six months. The current Michelin page still lists the restaurant under Innovative/Creative at the top price tier but shows no star. The inspectors describe progressive American cooking that pairs Western and Asian flavours, an elegant room, and a strong wine list and cocktail pairing. Michelin's 2020 piece mentions a 15-course tasting menu; Koktail lists menus at 999 and 1,500 baht and calls the Saturday and Sunday six-course lunch exceptional value. Dishes named across reviews include chicken liver mousse with tamarind and pomelo, a bacon jam doughnut, Alaskan king crab with nasturtium, apple and almond, and wagyu with sesame, broccoli and yuzu. Open Wednesday to Friday from 18:00 to 23:00 or 23:30, with a 12:00 to 15:00 lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Google 4.9 from 210 reviews.
