About

Ruay Mitr Ekkamai is the Suphanniga group's modern take on a Thai-Chinese khao tom kui (rice-soup supper) house, at 26 Soi Sukhumvit 61, following the Thonglor and Sathorn rooms. The Standard covered this branch in June 2024: three floors, a dim Chinese-film ground floor with a retro cocktail bar, a second floor with a DJ corner on Friday and Saturday from 20:00 and a semi-private Glass House looking onto Sukhumvit, and a third-floor private zone for about 20 with its own bartender. Rice soup is refilled free. Recorded prices include crispy Talat Phlu chives 160 baht, Teochew fried tofu 180, minced pork stewed with ume 290, prawns in fish sauce 260, squid with salted egg 390, crispy pork with kailan 240, charcoal-grilled wagyu kalbi 750 and cocktails at 380, with jelly beer on the list. The article put the budget from 160 baht and hours at 17:00 to midnight; Google now shows 11:00 to midnight. Street parking is allowed after 20:00, or pay at Park Lane or Major Ekkamai.
