Indique is the contemporary Indian room inside the SQ Boutique Hotel at 54 Sukhumvit Road, at the mouth of Soi 19 and a few minutes on foot from Terminal 21. The restaurant's own site calls it a gastrobar: North and South Indian cooking from a tandoor, biryanis, kebabs and an Indo-Chinese section on one side, signature cocktails with a 17:00 to 19:00 happy hour on the other, plus live tabla and sitar on Friday and Saturday evenings. A Bangkok Post review once placed it halfway between Gaggan-style molecular Indian and hearty comfort food. Small plates on the website start at 89 baht for a samosa, with pani puri at 139, samosa chaat at 149 and chicken tikka salad at 149; mains such as paneer tikka butter masala are not priced online. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and Jain menus are offered, but there is no halal statement and alcohol is served. Google files it as a halal restaurant, which the restaurant's own site does not confirm. Google rates it 4.9 from more than 4,500 reviews. Open daily 11:30 to 23:30; the site asks you to book, especially Thursday to Sunday.
