About
Kaeng Pa (spelled Kang Pa on its Wongnai listing) is a sit-down Thai curry house about 300 metres into Soi Ramkhamhaeng 24, on the right before the traffic lights. The name means jungle curry, and the menu is built around that and the dry kua curries, so expect real heat.
Wongnai's menu section lists prices: jungle curry with featherback fish balls (kaeng pa luk chin pla krai) at 191 baht, river-snail curry (kaeng kua hoi khom) at 191, and sand whiting fried with turmeric at 229. A December 2025 review paid 150 baht for kai kolae, the southern grilled chicken in a coconut curry sauce, and 150 for curry with pork bones. Earlier reviewers ordered liang leaves stir-fried with egg at 148 and sour curry with cha-om and shrimp at 198. Beef kaeng rawaeng and crab curry with betel leaves come up again and again as recommendations. Wongnai's spend band is 101 to 250 baht a head.
The dining room seats 81 to 150 and has been renovated, by reviewers' accounts. There is parking beside the shop, cards are accepted and pets are allowed. Wongnai lists daily hours of 11:00 to 20:30, while Google shows a 21:00 close. Google rates it 4.6 from 364 reviews.
