About
Krua Nai Suan, which Wongnai and older regulars still call Krua Ta Noi, is a Thai restaurant inside Wachirabenchathat Park, the park locals call Suan Rot Fai, off Soi Nikhom Rot Fai Sai 1. It is about 700 m from MRT Phahon Yothin, and many customers come straight from cycling or running in the park. Wongnai lists parking, and one reviewer parked in front of the shop.
The menu is central Thai with a lot of freshwater fish. Wongnai's listed prices: fried giant gourami with garlic 370 baht, pla kang phat cha 200 baht, tom yum pla kang 220 baht, featherback fish cakes 150 baht, crispy fluffy catfish stir-fried khi mao 140 baht and Thai som tam 70 baht. The fish cakes and the garlic-fried fish are the dishes reviewers name most. A 2016 review describes a renovation and an air-conditioned room. Later reviews are split: a 2018 reviewer wrote that the founder had handed the shop to the family, prices had gone up and the jungle curry tasted different, while a 2024 reviewer called the prices friendly. Wongnai's per-person band is 251–500 baht.
Google lists daily 11:00–23:00 and Wongnai 09:00–21:00, so phone 083-849-7738 before a late visit. Google shows 4.1 from about 540 reviews.
