About

Rim Nam Barbeque sits under the Thonburi end of Phra Pinklao Bridge, right on the Chao Phraya, and the river view is the reason people come. Tables run along the water's edge, and one Wongnai reviewer arriving at 17:30 on a February evening found them already taken.

It is a charcoal mookata buffet: 299 baht a head, or 319 baht if you come alone, with no time limit according to Wongnai reviewers. Drink refills cost 39 baht. For 79 baht more you get a separate charcoal seafood grill, and a July 2024 reviewer says each table gets one coupon to swap for a basket at the seafood counter. The line carries pork belly, marinated pork, bacon, pork neck, big prawns, oysters and scallops to grill with cheese, plus cooked dishes such as curry-fried crab, blue crab salad, crispy fluffy catfish and fried rice, with soft-serve to finish.

Wongnai's rating is 3.5 from 69 reviews, and reviewers agree that the draw is the view and the price, not premium seafood. A 2023 reviewer noted a big fan pulling air through the room, which kept it cool.

It opens 16:00 to 23:00 daily and has its own parking. MRT Bang Yi Khan is about 1.7 km away, so most people drive or take a taxi.
