About
Yaangkao is a Thai-Chinese eating-and-drinking house about 200 metres down Soi Intrawat 44 from Ratchaphruek Road. The kitchen's draw is charcoal-grilled meat and Hong Kong-style crispy pork, which Wongnai reviewers describe as light and very crisp rather than dense or chewy.
Wongnai members' most-voted dishes are crispy pork, grilled pork neck and red roast pork. The one price on the page is fried rice with Chinese chilli and grilled pork neck at 225 baht, and a reviewer reckons most plates cost around 300 but come in large portions. Other recommendations include the house stir-fried noodles, spinach in abalone sauce, cabbage stir-fried with shrimp paste, and khao plit winyan, a rice plate piled with red pork, pork belly and two fried eggs that reviewers say one person cannot finish. Spend runs 251 to 500 baht a head, with some reviewers paying more.
Inside there are about eight air-conditioned tables, with more outside and a garden at the back that suits the evening better than midday. Parking is limited to a few spaces behind and opposite, plus the roadside in the soi. It fills up, so call ahead. Google shows 4.5 from 710 reviews and Wongnai 4.4 from 26. Wongnai's official listing now carries the name Senchai by Yaangkao, and the owner's note there promotes Hong Kong-style dry fried noodles from the Yaangkao kitchen, while reviews up to June 2026 still describe the grill and the crispy pork.
