About
Fai Khiao Yaowarat is a made-to-order and seafood eatery in Soi Yaowarat 11, the old-market lane, known for flame-fried morning glory that sends fire over the wok at the front of the shop, which Wongnai notes stops both Thais and tourists. Kapook's night-eating guide to Yaowarat places it among the Thai-Chinese stir-fry shops inside Soi 11, next to Nai Yong's curry and the braised pork tendon stall, and an Agoda guide says it is known for seafood platters meant for sharing. The dishes Wongnai names are the flame-fried morning glory, steamed blue crab and garlic-fried prawns; no source publishes clear per-dish prices. On the food, opinions are split and it is fair to say so: Google gives 4.4 from more than a thousand reviews, while Wongnai scores it only 3.2 from a dozen or so reviews, with complaints about long waits and flavour alongside people who liked it. Hours also disagree: Google lists Thursday to Saturday 18:00 to 01:00 and Sunday 17:00 to 01:00, Wongnai daily 18:00 to midnight. Call 097-232-8553 before a weekday visit. Four minutes from MRT Wat Mangkon.
