About
Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu is a Kyoto chain, with its original shop in Pontocho, that specialises in gyukatsu: beef cutlet in a thin crumb, fried briefly so the centre stays rare, then seared further at the table on a small hot stone grill. This branch is on the 6th floor of Helix Sky Dining at EmQuartier, next to BTS Phrom Phong, and the mall's directory highlights its premium set, the Iwate wagyu (A4) gyukatsu zen.
Sets come with rice, shredded cabbage, soup and several dipping sauces. Wongnai lists the salmon katsu set at 420 baht as the branch's recommended dish; reviewers also order the sirloin and chuck-tail gyukatsu sets, and the menu adds shrimp, unagi and scallop katsu. A reviewer in May 2026 found the wait short compared with the branches in Japan.
Wongnai's band is 251 to 500 baht a head, with one reviewer spending 501 to 1,000. Other Bangkok branches include Siam Center and Parc Bangna. Hours differ by source: Wongnai lists 10:00 to 21:30 and Google 11:00 to 22:00, so check before a late meal. Google rates the branch 4.8 from about 410 reviews.
