About

Unagi Yondaime Kikukawa is the Nagoya grilled-eel house that opened its first Thai branch at EmQuartier in early 2024 under Saha Group investment, which ThaiPR reports as the brand's 23rd branch. Time Out places it on floor 6 of the Helix Sky Dining, unit 5A03, open 10:00 to 22:00 daily. Google rates it 4.7 from about 600 reviews. The signature is hitsumabushi, a whole eel grilled in kabayaki sauce over rice and eaten three ways: plain, then with seaweed, wasabi and spring onion, then with dashi poured over as ochazuke. The price found for the One Bangkok branch that followed in October 2024 is 1,290 baht for the whole-eel hitsumabushi with pickles, a side dish and soup; a Wongnai reviewer called it fair against Bangkok's other eel specialists but found the fish portion small. EmQuartier pricing may differ slightly, and reviewers report spending over 1,000 baht a head. It is the closest eel specialist to BTS Phrom Phong and suits a meal where you want one dish done properly.
