About
Jharokha is the sister restaurant of Indus, on the second floor of the Erawan Bangkok building at 494 Phloen Chit Road, linked to BTS Chit Lom by the Ratchaprasong skywalk. The restaurant's site sums it up as regal Indian cuisine reimagined, from fire pit to table: charcoal and open-fire cooking inspired by India's royal kitchens, served past a front bar that BK Magazine describes as packed to the ceiling with bottles before you reach the dark dining room. The site's signature list reads crab pani puri, crispy patta chaat, ash kauri chaampan lamb chops, keema pav, kasundi fish tikka, a whole sea bass and butter chicken with garlic naan. Time Out lists the shikari maas ke sule, Australian lamb striploin with mustard-mint dip, at 650 baht; BK's listing has bheja pav at 490, Himalayan gucchi and khumb at 450 and a batak seekh kebab at 480; Masala Magazine priced the raj kachori at 750. The one set price on the site is a weekend brunch, Saturday and Sunday 11:30 to 14:30, at 1,200++ a head with children five to ten at half price. Open daily 11:30 to 22:30. Google 4.8 from about 530 reviews.
