About

Kurasu Bangkok Stand is the grab-and-go coffee bar of Kurasu, the Kyoto roaster, on the first floor of the Home Place building between Thonglor Soi 15 and 17, opposite UOB Bank according to the brand's own site. Kurasu opened its second overseas shop in Bangkok in 2019, and this stand is the version for people who want a good Japanese-style coffee without settling in. Beans are Kurasu's from Japan, including a dark-roast Bangkok Blend made for a wider audience and rotating seasonal beans for both espresso and filter, as BKKMenu notes. The brand site calls the Anko Toast, thick toast with sweet red bean paste and butter, its number one favourite; Grab adds the Kurasu Blend and a Japanese cold brew. The counter is open so you can watch the brewing. Hours differ by source: Google says 08:00 to 16:00 daily, Grab says closed Mondays, the brand site says until 18:00, so check before a late afternoon or Monday visit. About ten minutes on foot from BTS Thong Lo, or hop off the red songthaew at Soi 15. Google rating 4.7 from more than 160 reviews.
