Lao Yuan (The Mall Bangkae) ลาวญวน เดอะมอลล์บางแค
Best for Mixed-age family tables in the mall where some want papaya salad and others want naem nueang.
About
Lao Yuan is a mall chain of more than 20 branches that puts Isan and Vietnamese food on one menu, and this is its branch at The Mall Lifestore Bangkae. Grab names the branch's standouts as pho, fresh spring rolls and khao kriap pak mo, the steamed rice-skin dumplings. Across the chain, Wongnai shows the dishes people reorder as naem nueang (grilled pork sausage you wrap in rice paper with fresh herbs), tam mua (a mixed papaya salad platter) and grilled pork neck. On the chain's Central Village delivery menu, naem nueang is 275 baht.
That mix suits a table where one person wants papaya-salad heat and another wants something mild to wrap and dip. A 2022 TrueID article describes the Bang Khae branch as clean, with modern Isan decor and good for families, and places it on the G floor, but that was written before the mall's renovation, which finished in 2024. Grab and Google agree on daily hours of 11:00–20:30. Scores split by platform: Google users give this branch 4.1 from 145 reviews, while Grab's delivery customers rate it 4.5 from about 160.
