About

Pastel is the Mediterranean rooftop on the 22nd floor of the Aira Hotel at 14 Sukhumvit Soi 11, five minutes from BTS Nana, open 17:00 to 01:00 every day. The restaurant's own site lists Wagyu raviolis Niçois, royal lobster pasta, a Black Opal Wagyu ribeye, Andalusian gazpacho, truffle pappardelle, a mezze platter, a 1.3-kilo Wagyu tomahawk and a strawberry panna cotta, without prices; Tourist Bangkok's rundown fills the bands in at small plates 290 to 1,640 baht, raw bar 490 to 2,990, mains 490 to 1,990, salads 370 to 690 and desserts 280 to 890, all plus-plus, with cocktails from 360 to 940 and a martini at 590. Eatigo pushes the Pastel on the Yacht cold seafood platter as the showpiece. The terrace is open on one side only, which Phuket 101 notes, and the dress code it lists bans sportswear, beach clothing, slippers, sandals and flip-flops, with no sleeveless tops or open shoes for men. Google 4.5 from almost 2,400 reviews. The Luxury Editor describes a plain hotel lobby that opens upstairs onto a terrace of bamboo, arches and Mediterranean tiles, with a saxophonist moving between tables on some nights. The menu, which also runs to Wagyu toast and uni toast, is built for a long dinner rather than a single drink.
