About
THE S Bangkok is the Italian restaurant of The Sile Riverside hotel on Soi Charoen Krung 72/1, Chao Phraya Alley, in Bang Kho Laem just south of Asiatique. The restaurant's site describes Italian cooking that borrows French and Japanese technique, an open kitchen where guests watch the plating, and a VIP room with a teppanyaki grill used for bistecca and Japanese wagyu. The supervising chef is Noriyuki Sanada, who the site says has held Michelin, Gault&Millau and Gambero Rosso recognition, with executive chef Eisuke Kusunoki, heir to the Kitano Club restaurant founded in 1957. Prices are published: dinner Standard Course 3,000 baht and Special Course 5,000; the lunch and cafe service from 11:00 to 17:00 offers a Tasting Course at 1,500 and Premium Course at 2,500, all plus 10 percent service and 7 percent VAT. Dinner runs 17:00 to 22:00 with last entry at 21:30, closed Wednesdays; book on TableCheck or call 02-120-4791, and note cancellation fees of 30 to 100 percent by notice period.
