About

Nagiya Thonglor 9 is a 95-seat izakaya at the mouth of Thonglor Soi 9 with a terrace out front and a large projector screen inside. It opens for dinner only, 5pm to midnight with last orders at 11pm, and is one of the places Thonglor office workers drift to after six. The menu is broad, from sashimi and sushi through salads, hotpot and fried dishes, but the grill is the reason to come. Pork tongue and pork heart skewers are around 30 baht a stick, there is grilled hokke, grilled yellowtail collar at 336 baht and crab baked in butter in its own shell. Easy fried orders include three chicken wings at 132 baht, fried chicken skin with ponzu at 108 baht and a whole pickled cucumber at 84 baht. If you are properly hungry, the anago roll is 408 baht, the kaisen seafood salad 468 baht and an ume onigiri 80 to 96 baht. Expect 400 to 900 baht a head depending on how much you drink. Parking is at the adjacent Grande Centre Point Thonglor, the whole room is non-smoking, and a booking is wise for groups after 8pm on a Friday.
