About

On the Table Tokyo Cafe is a Zen Group brand that cooks home-style Japanese food crossed with Western dishes, mostly Italian, so pizza, pasta, udon and rice bowls share one menu. The Central Rama 9 branch is in Room 608 on the 6th floor, in the Plaza zone, according to Wongnai, and seats between 41 and 80. MRT Phra Ram 9 connects to the mall underground.

Grab's Rama 9 round-up picks out the sukiyaki burger and the carbonara udon, which sum up the idea. Wongnai members list prices for the rest of the menu: tom yum seafood spaghetti at 325 baht, Parma maki at 290, a Hawaiian pizza at 270, salmon and hijiki capellini at 245, fried calamari at 215 and baked spinach with cheese at 190. Reviewers mention thin, crisp pizza bases, the tom yum seafood udon, a hamburg curry gratin at 280 baht and a Parma ham carbonara at 240. Wongnai's spend band is 251 to 500 baht a head, and the branch serves wine and beer.

Google shows 4.6 from more than 700 reviews. It works for a group that cannot agree between Japanese and Western, and for a long lunch in proper seats rather than at a food court.
