About

This is the riverside branch of Supanniga Eating Room, the group built on the cooking of the owner's grandmother, Khun Somsri Chantra, whose recipes draw on Trat on the east coast and Khon Kaen in the northeast. It takes the river frontage of the Riva Arun hotel at 392/25-26 Maharaj Road, with Wat Arun straight across the Chao Phraya; Time Out describes the tables as directly facing it.

Start with moo chamuang, fatty pork braised soft with chamuang leaves, which both The Standard and Time Out pick out. Time Out also names nam prik khai pu, a hot crab-roe relish served with vegetables, and cabbage fried in Trat fish sauce until caramelised, which it found close to too salty. Table Journey adds tomato and pomelo salad and khao soi. Time Out's November 2025 review mentions a Tha Tien-only dessert, coconut rice cake with taro, corn and dried shrimp, made in small batches each day, so call ahead if you want it. A 2023 blog review of the Supanniga group put small plates at around 170 baht and mains at 250 to 350; it does not single out this branch.

The website lists Monday to Friday 11:00 to 22:00 and weekends from 10:00, last order 21:00. Book via Chope, [email protected] or 092 253 9251. MRT Sanam Chai exit 1 is a short walk away.
