About
Nusara is chef Thitid 'Ton' Tassanakajohn's Thai tasting-menu restaurant, run with his brother Tam and named after the grandmother who helped raise them. It sits at 336 Maha Rat Road in Tha Tien. The Michelin Guide Thailand 2026 gave it one star, marked as new that year, and the restaurant's site notes it ranked No. 3 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2023.
Dinner starts with welcome bites on the rooftop, which looks over Wat Pho, then moves down to an olive-green and gold dining room. Michelin describes a 12-course menu shaped like a Thai kaiseki, and singles out Thai wagyu stir-fried with holy basil and a set of four regional relishes. Its 2026 list of inspectors' favourite dishes picked the crab curry: blue swimming crab and mud crab in a turmeric-yellow curry thickened with crab roe, served with crispy baby shrimp and fried garuda leaves.
The World's 50 Best lists the tasting menu from US$185. Michelin calls it one of Bangkok's most intimate Thai dining rooms and says the restaurant handles its own bookings: reserve through nusarabkk.com or on 097 293 5549. Dinner is served daily from 18:00 to 23:00. Cards are accepted. MRT Sanam Chai is about six minutes away on foot.
